Already from the Asylum Seekers Center (AZC) you get help to make a good start in Tilburg. Refugee work can help you with this.

What is it?
If you come to live in the AZC in Tilburg after your stay, you will receive help from Vluchtelingenwerk. They help you arrange:
• your administration
• finance
• registration with the municipality
• a house
They will start with this when you are still in the AZC. They will help you with all the preparations for your move to Tilburg. There are many rules and authorities that you will have to deal with. In the beginning this can be difficult. That is why Vluchtelingenwerk helps with this.
House
Refugee work helps you to arrange a house. They go to see the house. They also help you to arrange gas, water, electricity and insurance. You will also receive help with furnishing your home.
Money
Refugee work helps you to apply for benefits. They also arrange all other financial matters together with you. For example:
• Health care allowance
• Rent allowance
• Child budget and child benefit (if you have children)
• Childcare allowance (if your children go to childcare,
because you participate in the integration or work)
• Payment arrangements if you have debts
• Tax waivers

• Health insurance
• Family doctor
• Specialist doctor (if necessary)
• Dentist
• Pharmacy

• Registration with the UWV
• Help with internet banking
• Request DIGID

What is the goal?
A good start in Tilburg. Everything that is needed for this must be properly arranged. In addition, you will learn from the supervisor how you can do this yourself in the future.

That's different for everyone. It depends on how quickly you manage to arrange all things. Usually it takes about 3 months.

You can get this help if you are staying at the AZC and have heard that you are moving to the municipality of Tilburg.

You will see your supervisor for the first time in the AZC. You have agreements with each other to arrange things. You also go to organizations together to arrange things.
