White goods scheme

Applying for the gift card is no longer possible. Have you already used the gift card but not yet? Please note that your gift card is valid for 2 months. Only within that time can you exchange your old device for a new device with the gift card.

• If you received the energy allowance, you will also have received a letter about the white goods scheme.
• The letter contains information and a personal code. With this code you could request a gift card digitally until September 1st.
• You will receive the Groupcard gift card by post. The card has a value of 550 euros. With this you can purchase a new device at affiliated (online) stores, possibly with additional payment.
• You can choose from a washing machine, refrigerator or a fridge-freezer.
• Your old device will be included when your new device is delivered.
• The gift card is valid for 62 days. The letter from Groupcard states until when your gift card is valid (until 1 December at the latest).

Also good to know

• You cannot pass the gift card on to someone else.
• If you want, you can buy/exchange multiple devices. You will then have to pay the rest yourself. The municipality pays for 1 gift card of 550 euros.
• You always hand in your old device. The new device will not be delivered without an old device. With the scheme we want to replace appliances that are not energy efficient with energy efficient appliances. You also hand in the same type of device. So if you buy a washing machine, you hand in an old washing machine.

Can I apply for the white goods scheme?

No, you cannot apply for the white goods scheme. The white goods scheme is for households that have received 800 euros in energy allowance. These are residents with a low income. It is also no longer possible to apply for the energy allowance. Applications could be made until 31 March 2024 and there will be no new scheme. Do you want to know how you can save energy yourself?
