Health insurance

For residents with a low income there is a collective health insurance from CZ or VGZ. Then you are well insured with a discount. You will receive a complete care package and the municipality will contribute to your premium. Here you will find everything about the collective health insurance of the municipality of Tilburg.

Health insurance 2025

Are you already using the collective health insurance via the municipality? Then you will receive a new health insurance policy from CZ or VGZ for 2025 no later than 19 November 2024. At the end of November you will also receive a letter with information from the municipality.

  • If you don't want to change anything, don't do anything.
  • Do you want to change packages or apply for another insurance? Then arrange this before 31 December 2024.
  • If you are not yet using the CZM, you can apply for the insurance from 19 November via www.Gezondverzekerd.nl.

Can I make use of the collective health insurance?

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are a resident of the municipality of Tilburg.
  • You (together with your partner) have a net income of up to 120% of the minimum.
  • You (together) do not have more power than allowed.

Do you (together) have more power? Then you are not entitled to the collective health insurance of the municipality. By equity we mean the total amount in all your checking and savings accounts. The savings of minor children living at home also count. And, for example, the value of your car or caravan.

 

How much income can I have?

You can apply for the collective health insurance with an income up to 120% of the social assistance level.

Is your income (together) higher? Then you are not entitled to the collective health insurance of the municipality.

How do I calculate if I can participate?

Add up all your income for a month (and that of your partner). Even if your partner does not want to use the collective health insurance.

Addition (net)

  • Income from employment, benefits or student finance (without holiday allowance).
  • Pension, partner alimony or maintenance contribution.
  • Other income (e.g. interest or rental income)
  • For married couples: the General Tax Credit Tax Credit (IB/PVV) for the least-earning partner
  • Do you receive a child-related budget as a single parent? Then you count 290 euros per month as income. The amount above that does not count as income.

Don't count

  • Child support
  • Special wellfare
  • Energy surcharge
  • Rent allowance, healthcare allowance or housing allowance
  • Child discount, combination discount and young disabled person discount
  • Part of a Child Budget: €290 is counted as income, the amount above that is not.
  • Personal budget with which you purchase care

Provide additional information with the Ockto app

Are you applying for insurance for the first time or are you changing packages? Then it is possible that you will have to send additional information after your visit to Gezondverzekerd.nl. For quick and secure sharing of information, you can use the Download Ockto App (DigiD login required, also your partner). You can also provide data via email or post. Follow the instructions you receive by email from Gezondverzekerd.nl.

Can I get help with applying or switching?

Volunteers of the Home administration (Form help) are happy to help you with the application via Gezondverzekerd.nl. They cannot provide information or advice about the (content of) the insurance. For this you contact CZ or VGZ.

How long will my application take?

We will ensure that you receive an answer within 8 weeks. If you participate, you will receive an information package from CZ or VGZ. It states, among other things, how you pay the premium or declare health care costs. The municipality checks every year whether you are still entitled to the insurance.

How can I cancel the insurance?

To cancel, please contact the municipality. The health insurance will stop immediately if you move to another municipality or if CZ or VGZ cancels the insurance due to payment arrears.
