A reimbursement for the (school) costs of your child

The costs of school-age children can be quite high. Think of:

  • the voluntary parental contribution
  • the annual school trip
  • the sports or scouting association
  • music lesson
  • transport to school
  • a laptop for homework.

Your family can apply for reimbursement for these costs from Stichting Leergeld.

Special assistance or via Stichting Leergeld?

We recommend that you first apply for reimbursement for these costs from Stichting Leergeld. They can also provide a reimbursement for swimming lessons (up to diploma B) or clothing for a sports club that are not reimbursed through the special assistance.

In addition, several laptops/pc's may be provided per household, if this appears to be necessary. While the rule always applies when applying for special assistance: 1 laptop/PC per household.

What do I get reimbursed?

In 2023 you can contact Stichting Leergeld for:

  • gym clothes and sportswear
  • laptops/pc's if your child needs them for school

Is your child in secondary education? Then you can apply for a reimbursement for school supplies. For example:

  • a bike
  • a school bag, agenda or pencil case
  • a contribution to the contribution for sports or culture.

Consult Stichting Leergeld for other costs. They like to think along with you.
