Tilburg is participating in research into extra money for families on social assistance

Last month, the municipality of Tilburg was in the news because we want to participate in the study 'Family and Money'. At 'Family and Money' we investigate whether less money stress leads to more peace and more opportunities. What happens if a family on social assistance benefits receives extra money and is allowed to decide for themselves how they spend that money?

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) is investigating this on the initiative of the Kansfonds foundation and FNO. The study will start in 2024. As soon as more is known, families who can participate will automatically receive a message from us.
