Release gifts

You may receive 1,200 euros per year in donations (money or goods). This has no consequences for your benefit. Initially this was 1,000 euros.

How does it work?
If you receive a gift, it is important that you let us know. We do not regard gifts of up to 1,200 euros per year as income or assets and we do not deduct it from your benefit.

Please note: these must concern gifts that are not intended to pay for costs that you can also pay from your social assistance benefit. For example, if you receive money every month for your groceries or health insurance. It is the intention that you pay these costs from your benefit. If you receive money for these kinds of costs, we can deduct this from your benefit.
