This week you will receive a letter about municipal taxes. This letter states whether you have to pay municipal tax. Have you not received a letter? You will automatically receive a waiver, or you will receive the mail digitally. Check your message box on mijn.overheid.nl.
How can I pay the municipal taxes
This can be done in three ways:
- You pay the entire amount in one go.
- You transfer part of the amount every month.
- You give the municipality permission for a direct debit. The municipality will then automatically debit the amount from your account every month.
I cannot pay the municipal taxes
Apply for a waiver. If you receive a remission, you do not have to pay (part of) the municipal taxes.
Whether you do not have to pay municipal taxes depends on:
- your personal situation
- your income
- your property (capital)
