The Temporary Energy Emergency Fund is available for households that cannot pay the high energy bill. Are you having trouble paying the high energy bill? Then go to www.noodfondsenergie.nl and request compensation. Applications can be submitted until April 1, 2024.
When can I apply?
If you meet these conditions:
- You have your own energy contract with an energy supplier
- You have no district heating
- You spend more than 8% of your joint gross income on the energy bill.
Do the situation check
Whether and how much support you receive depends on the amount of your energy bill and gross income. Therefore, first do the situation check www.noodfondsenergie.nl.
Do you pay a lot for energy?
Then your energy supplier will reduce part of your energy bill for a period of six months. It does not matter which energy supplier you use.

The Emergency Fund is a collaboration between the government and the energy suppliers. It is a national scheme in which the municipality has no role. Even if you receive Energy Allowance, you can ask for help from the Temporary Energy Emergency Fund.
