WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?

At the start of your workday, you check whether all shelves are neatly filled and prepare any new promotions or offers. Customers come in to pick up their postal package or buy a lottery ticket, for example. You help them in a friendly and fast manner.

During the busy lunchtime, you help customers who quickly come to pick up something, such as greeting cards, magazines or office supplies. You stay alert at the cash register and help customers with questions. Sometimes a delivery comes in, so you restock the shelves and make sure the store looks neat. In between, you give advice about gifts or help someone fill in a lottery form. You also work with computer systems, so it is useful if you can handle them.

Furthermore, you accept packages for shipping, which sometimes include heavier packages. It is therefore important that you are physically fit. You keep an overview in the store and ensure that everything remains clean and tidy. At the end of the day, you make up the cash register, close the store neatly and ensure that everything is ready for the next working day.

In short, your working day is a mix of customer contact, store management and occasional logistical tasks, which makes the work varied and fun!
