Data, audio and camera image specialist (Eindhoven)

Heb je interesse?
WHO IS IT INTENDED FOR?
  • Candidates with a target group indication.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?

You'll be working in the Eindhoven police's DAC team. This team consists of specialists who analyze data, audio, and camera footage to solve crimes. You'll have a quiet workspace and clear instructions. You'll be trained in all three areas, but will have one main task. Below, you can read what you can expect in each role:

  • Data specialist
As a data specialist, you'll start your day by opening digital files from devices such as phones, laptops, or USB drives seized during an investigation. You'll receive clear instructions explaining what to look for. Think of messages, photos, documents, or other data that may be important to the investigation. You'll analyze this information and write down what you find. You'll do this very precisely and factually, so it can be used in the criminal case file. You'll work independently but can always consult with colleagues or your supervisor.
  • Audio specialist
As an audio specialist, you work with audio recordings of interrogations or confidential conversations. You listen attentively and write down what's said verbatim. Sometimes the recordings are difficult to understand. In such cases, you use special software and filters to make the sound clearer. You work with concentration and care, as your transcription can be crucial evidence. You often start your day with a new recording and work on it step by step. You discuss your findings with colleagues and ensure everything is properly stored.
  • Camera image specialist
As a CCTV specialist, you'll review video footage from surveillance cameras, for example. This footage comes from businesses, private individuals, or cameras installed by the police. You'll be given an assignment that outlines what to look for, such as a person, vehicle, or time of day. You'll review the footage carefully and make notes of everything important. This work requires a high level of concentration and a keen eye for detail. You'll create a summary of your observations, which will be used by the investigation team. Sometimes you'll work on serious cases, such as assaults or robberies, so it's important that you're skilled in these matters.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
  • You have a vmbo or mbo level 2 work and thinking level.
  • You can listen well, look well and work accurately.
  • You can concentrate for a long time and have an eye for detail.
