Do you like working with computers? Do you like helping others and do you want to contribute to society? Then this might be the opportunity for you!
The police are looking for two new colleagues for the Digital Support Team in Den Bosch. You will help with the safe reading and storage of data from digital devices, such as telephones or USB sticks. You do not have to be an ICT expert, as long as you are interested in digital technology. You will receive good guidance and the opportunity to learn on the job.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You read digital data carriers, such as telephones, USB sticks and hard drives. You ensure that these are stored and processed safely. Sometimes you transport these items between locations. You make reports of the data and help colleagues with questions about digital techniques.
WHAT DOES YOUR WORKING DAY LOOK LIKE?
Your working day starts at 09:00 with a short team briefing. Together with your colleagues, you discuss the planning and divide the tasks. Then you start reading digital data carriers, such as telephones, USB sticks or hard drives. You use special software and equipment for this, so that the data is stored safely and correctly.
During the day you process multiple devices. Sometimes there are a few, but in larger investigations there can be dozens. You make sure that everything is neatly registered in the system: from the characteristics of the device to a report of what you have done with it.
In addition to reading, you also ensure that the devices are returned to the platform on time. If you have a driver's license, you can also arrange the transport yourself. A service vehicle is available for this. Sometimes this happens at fixed times, but it may also be that you have to act quickly in case of urgent requests.
You regularly contact colleagues from the digital field. Questions are received via a general telephone number, which you answer together with your team. You also help create reports and datasets, so that colleagues can continue their research. You ensure that the right data is available, but you do not conduct research into the content of that data yourself.
Finally, you actively share your knowledge with your colleagues. You help them with questions about digital techniques and think about how your work can be smarter and better. In this way, you contribute to a strong and expert reading team.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Minimum MBO 3 working and thinking level.
- You find computers and technology interesting.
- Good command of Dutch and basic knowledge of English.
- A class B driving license is nice, but not mandatory.
- You are willing to follow training or education, such as a BOA training course.
WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?
- A good salary between €2,616 and €4,204 gross per month (scale 7).
- Extra money through a choice budget of 17,86% + € 377 net per year.
- Pension and paid parental leave.
- Possibility to work on weekends (after your induction period).
- A 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
