Facility employee maintenance team

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

You'll work with colleagues in the maintenance team. Your responsibilities include:

Inside:

• Walk around the building to check that everything is working
• Resolving minor problems (e.g. a broken lamp or a leak)
• Carrying out minor repairs (such as to tables, chairs or doors)
• Hanging hooks, pictures or toilet facilities
• Putting materials in the right place and keeping track of inventory
• Receive and guide visitors or technicians

Outside:

• Emptying waste bins
• Cleaning up litter and cigarette butts
• Remove bicycles
• Keep the garden tidy (blowing leaves, removing weeds, watering plants)

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?

You start your day with a cup of coffee or tea. You discuss your schedule with your colleagues. The system displays the available tasks. First, you'll go out with a colleague. Then, you'll work independently on your own tasks.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

• You are motivated and enthusiastic
• You like working indoors and outdoors
• You are flexible (sometimes you work at an event, also on weekends)
• You can work independently
• You pay attention to details
• You have a driving license B (for driving an off-road vehicle)

Are you a senior? Then:

• Are you the point of contact for colleagues?
• Consult with your manager
• Help your colleagues with questions

• Divide the work if necessary

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?

• You will receive work clothes from Tilburg University
• You work between 28 and 40 hours per week (in consultation)
• You start with a 2-month trial period
• If it goes well, you'll receive a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.
