WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

You'll work with colleagues in the maintenance team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Control rounds are being carried out through the buildings.
  • Resolve minor problems such as broken lights, leaks or blockages.
  • Carry out minor repairs, for example to tables, chairs, doors or cabinets.
  • Hanging hooks, pictures, whiteboards, mirrors, soap and towel dispensers, etc.
  • Manage work inventory.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events. Being present during events to resolve minor malfunctions and keep the grounds tidy (maximum 2 to 3 times per year).
  • Keeping the campus tidy; cleaning up litter and cigarette butts. Replacing trash bags in outdoor bins.
  • Garden maintenance; leaf clearing/leaf blowing, weeding, watering plants;
  • Straighten pavement tiles, replace posts, put up barriers, remove stray bicycles.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?

You start your day with a cup of coffee or tea. You review the schedule with your colleagues and check which work orders have been received via the app. Depending on the nature of the assignment, you'll work alone or with a colleague. You might be called during the process for an emergency, which you'll handle promptly, after which you can continue processing the work orders.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?
  • You are motivated and enthusiastic;
  • You like working indoors and/or outdoors;
  • Flexible; during events, work is also carried out in the evenings and on weekends (max 2 to 3 times per year)
  • Working independently: being able to pick up and carry out work independently;
  • Paying attention to details;
  • Driving license B; driving a service vehicle.

  • Divide the work if necessary

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?
  • You will receive work clothes from Tilburg University
  • You'll work between 28 and 40 hours per week (negotiable). Outdoor work is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and indoor work is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • You'll start with a two-month trial period. If it goes well, you'll receive a six-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.
