WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You are responsible for the daily maintenance and facility support of one or more police buildings in the Breda region. Your duties include:
- Identify what needs to be done in the buildings and take immediate action.
- Resolving minor technical faults and carrying out light maintenance work.
- Testing installations, replenishing materials and following up on cleaning notifications.
- Supervise and supervise external suppliers and technicians.
- Processing notifications and requests in the administrative systems.
- Administrative handling of facility work and progress.
During your induction period, you will be guided by an experienced colleague who will familiarize you with the buildings, systems, and working methods.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
You start your day by reviewing the notifications received in the facilities system. You choose the most important tasks and briefly discuss them with your colleagues. Then you walk around the building. You check the rooms, resolve minor technical issues, replenish supplies, and check that everything is clean and safe. Sometimes you can resolve something immediately, sometimes you need to involve an external party.
Later that morning, you'll supervise a mechanic who's coming to do maintenance. You'll ensure they have access to the correct areas, monitor their progress, and record their progress. Police officers will also approach you with questions or reports. You'll be their designated contact person in uniform.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- Minimum vmbo/mbo-2 working and thinking level.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- A technical background is an advantage.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and preferably a facility management system.
- VCA basic certificate or willingness to obtain this through us.
- Driving license B (manual).
- A structured, flexible and service-oriented work attitude.
WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?
- A position of 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday), based in Breda.
- A gross monthly salary between €2,595 and €3,862 (scale 5 Bbp).
- A temporary appointment of 1 year, with the possibility of extension if performance is satisfactory.
- A workplace within the Regional Facility Services Team, where pride, enjoyment and trust are central.
