We are looking for someone who already has experience with similar work, such as:
- Green maintenance
- Grounds maintenance

Facilities or technical work
Do you also have experience guiding or managing colleagues? Then you are a good fit for this position.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You work as part of the maintenance team. In addition, you have a supervisory and coordinating role.
- You monitor the progress of the work.
- You check whether the work is being carried out properly.
- You provide explanations and guidance to colleagues.
- You motivate colleagues in their work.
- You consult with the team leader about the planning and the work.
- You tell the team leader how the work is progressing.
- You are the point of contact for colleagues in the workplace.
Additional tasks (optional)
Sometimes you also do some administrative work and manage the inventory. For example:
- Order small items
- Check what is in stock
- Checking if borrowed materials are returned neatly
- Working with work orders and records in an app or on the computer
Your daily activities
- Patrol rounds walk across the grounds
- Performing garden and landscaping maintenance, such as:
- Clearing and blowing leaves
- Removing weeds

Watering trees and plants
- Straightening paving stones
- Installing or replacing posts
- Setting up barriers
- Removing abandoned bicycles
- Placing and emptying waste containers at events
- Clearing snow and spreading salt in the winter
- Ensuring the campus stays clean
- Cleaning up litter and cigarette butts

Replace garbage bags in outdoor trash cans
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
You start the day with your colleagues. Together, you review the schedule. You also check which new work orders have come in via the app.
After that, you get to work, either alone or with a colleague. Sometimes a notification of a malfunction comes in during the process. Then you resolve it together with the team. After that, you continue with your other tasks.
As a working foreman or forewoman, you help colleagues get started, maintain an overview, and consult regularly with the team leader. In this way, you help ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant campus for students, staff, and visitors every day.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- MBO working and thinking level
- Experience with maintenance work and grounds maintenance
- Experience with facilities or technical work is desirable, but not required.
- Experience guiding or managing colleagues
- You can handle administrative and technical work.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Affinity with the target group of the Jobs Agreement / Participation Act

Category B driving license, because you drive a service vehicle on campus

- Sometimes you work at events in the evening or on weekends (maximum 2 to 3 times a year)
WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?

You start with a 2-month trial placement (if you have benefits) or with a probationary periodIf things go well, you will receive a paid contract, with the chance of extension.

The starting salary is €2,669 gross per month for full-time employment. A secondment contract is also possible.

You work at least 32 hours and maximum 40 hours per weekWe will discuss the number of hours together, tailored to your availability.
