Training Supporter Housing & Welfare in Tilburg

Do you want to work and learn in healthcare?
Would you like to work in healthcare or are you ready for a new challenge? Then this paid training to become a Support Worker in Housing & Welfare is for you! During the training you will work and learn at the same time. This way you will gain practical experience and receive a salary.

What are you going to do?
As a Support Worker Living & Welfare you work in home care. You help clients with daily tasks and give them the attention they deserve. A visit lasts an average of 2 to 3 hours. Your tasks include:

  • Help with basic care such as washing, showering, dressing and going to the toilet.
  • Reminding and checking medication intake.
  • Support with eating and drinking and help with meal preparation.
  • Help with household tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning and tidying up.
  • Encouraging customer independence.
  • Providing a listening ear and responding to customer needs.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as grocery shopping, organizing mail and encouraging social contacts.
  • Consult with colleagues, family or your GP if you are concerned about a client.

The training

During the training you will learn everything about care, welfare and domestic support. You will also learn to report on your work. The training looks like this:

  • You work as a domestic helper at Actief Zorg and do an internship at Care & Nursing.
  • Start date: May 23, 2025, duration: 6 months.
  • Class day: Friday morning at the office in Waalwijk.
  • 3 hours of lessons every other week and at least 10 hours of work per week.
  • Approximately 4 hours of homework per week (in your own time).

What happens after the training?

After the training you will start working in the Gelukkig Thuis team in Tilburg. You will work together with colleagues and have regular consultations to share experiences and receive support.

What do we offer?

  • Certificate MBO Individual Basic Care and proof of participation in Medication and Well-being & Guidance.
  • Salary after completion: FWG 20 (€2,236.57 – €2,772.02 per month based on 36 hours).
  • Salary during training: €14.06 per hour with annual increase to €16.97 per hour.

Who are we looking for?

  • You like to work independently and know what to do.
  • You can deal well with different people and situations.
  • You communicate clearly and indicate your boundaries.
  • You are flexible and speak Dutch.
  • You can also work in the evenings or weekends (in consultation).
  • A driver's license and car are useful, but not mandatory.
