Service employee at an educational institution

WHO IS IT INTENDED FOR?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Walk around the building every day to check that everything is working properly
• Resolving minor faults, such as broken lights, leaks or blockages
• Carry out minor repairs, for example to tables, chairs, doors or cabinets
• Bringing materials to the right place and keeping track of inventory
• Replace ceiling tiles
• Hanging whiteboards, paintings or clocks
• Receive and guide external employees who come for maintenance or repairs

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?

You start with a cup of coffee or tea. Then you walk around the building to see if everything is in order. You receive reports of malfunctions, such as leaks or broken lamps, via a digital system. Sometimes you work above your head, for example to replace lamps or replace ceiling panels. You ensure that materials are delivered to the right place and that the stock is maintained. If malfunctions are too big, you call in external specialists and guide them during the work.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

• You have technical aptitude and experience with minor repairs
• You can work well with a digital fault reporting system
• You work accurately, independently and are friendly in your dealings
• You are willing to work sometimes in the evenings or on weekends

• You are open to learning new things

WHAT SHOULD YOU BE ABLE TO DO?

• Lots of walking and standing for long periods of time
• Physically strong enough to lift furniture
• Working safely on a ladder and working above your head
• Sufficient reading and writing skills to handle reports
• In possession of a driving license B

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?

• A contract for at least 32 hours per week
• Work clothes suitable for this position
• Flexible working hours, in consultation, depending on how many hours you want to work
