WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
On Friday, March 27, presentations are scheduled by the recruiter and store manager to provide more information about their working methods, positions, and required criteria. If candidates are enthusiastic about this, a speed date will follow. After this speed date, candidates will be informed whether they are considered suitable.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
A new store is opening in Tilburg. It is originally an American retailer. They operate on the off-price principle. This means that they offer current collections below retail price. They now have several branches in the Netherlands, and Tilburg is now following suit.
Because the store follows its own working methods, they explicitly state that no retail experience is required. The key requirements are that you must be able to speak English (it is the working language & presentations may also be given in English), be flexible regarding working hours and days (both weekdays and weekends), and be motivated and enthusiastic.
They work shifts of 4 to 5 hours per day. Generally, they will be somewhat smaller contracts.
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- Flexibility in hours is important: weekends, late-night shopping evenings, holidays, and preferably more availability during the week than just one time slot (unless it concerns a student).
- Enthusiasm is important
- Right to work: you must be fully entitled to work in the Netherlands; they cannot apply for a work permit.
- No experience needed: if you are enthusiastic and can work quickly (in whatever way that turns out), that is the most important thing to them.
- Don't be afraid of the English language: they use a lot of English within the team. During the interview day, the presentation may also be in English if there are multiple candidates who speak another language. You don't need to have a perfect command of the language, but it is important that you are not afraid of it.
