Can I get an advance?
Have you submitted an application for social assistance benefit, but do you need money faster? In some cases you can request an advance. You can read all about it on this page.
When am I entitled to a (legal) advance?
Are you experiencing financial difficulties while applying for your benefits? Then you can request an advance from your eligibility consultant. This is the employee who handles your application. You can request the advance four weeks after submitting your application. You will then receive 95% for the benefit to which you are entitled. While your application is pending, you can request an advance every four weeks. The advance is calculated from the expected start date of your benefits. The advance amount you receive will later be deducted from your benefits. This is called a settlement. If you are not entitled to the benefits, you must repay the advance.
I have money problems, but no right to an advance. What should I do?
Every situation is different. We cannot say in advance whether or not you will receive an advance. Therefore, always explain your situation well to your legality consultant.
