Remission of municipal taxes

At the end of February you will receive a letter about municipal taxes. The letter states whether you have to pay municipal tax. Didn't you receive a letter? You will receive the mail digitally. Go to your message box on mijn.overheid.nl.

How can I pay the municipal taxes

This can be done in three ways:

• You pay the entire amount in one go.
• You transfer part of the amount every month.
• You give the municipality permission for one automatic collection. The municipality then writes automatically deduct the amount from you every month account.

I cannot pay the municipal taxes

Apply for a waiver. If you receive a remission, you do not have to pay the municipal taxes (entirely). Whether you receive a (partial) remission depends on your personal situation and on your income and property. You may have been automatically waived. If so, you will receive a letter about this.
