Do you receive alimony or a maintenance contribution? From January 1, 2022, the amount has been increased by 1.9%. This is called indexing. This means that we automatically increase the alimony amounts (both child and partner alimony) by 1.9%.
How do you calculate the new amount?
Calculation example: In 2021 you received 200 euros in alimony for your child each month. This amount will be deducted from your benefit. From 1 January 2022, we will withhold 203.80 euros each month from your benefit.
The calculation is 200 euros x 1.9 : 100 = 3.80 euros.
Your ex-partner is obliged to pay you this amount. The LBIO website contains sample letters with which you can point out the annual indexation to your ex-partner. My ex-partner does not pay
Does your ex-partner not want to pay the increase? Then contact Werk en Inkomen. Your contact person can advise you on the next steps you can take to receive the (full) alimony. The amount that is deducted from your benefit can be (temporarily) adjusted. The condition is that you have communicated this information to your partner.
Redeem the gift card for the white goods scheme on time
