Working with guidance
Would you like to get paid to work, but can't do that yet? For example because you need guidance, have never worked or have not worked for a while? Then you can temporarily work at Kikmaat.
1.
What is it?
Are you eager to find paid work but can't quite manage it yet? For example, because you need guidance, haven't worked before, or haven't worked for a while? Then you can work temporarily at Kikmaat through a development position. You'll gain work experience where your development is prioritized. You'll work in various positions that align with your development. The development position is temporary and a stepping stone to a job with another employer. The duration of the development position depends on your development, but it never exceeds three years. When you're ready for the next step, you'll be helped with your application.
2.
What is the goal?
With this work experience you increase your chances of finding a job with another employer.
3.
How long does it take?
You'll start with a four-week introductory program at Diamantgroep. You'll work on questions like: who am i?, what can i do? and what do i want? This is done through interviews and, where necessary, with tools such as tests, games, VR, assessments, or work shadowing days. You'll then begin a two-month trial period at a workplace to get accustomed to the work. You'll retain your benefits during these two months. You'll receive guidance, and we'll assess whether the work is a good fit for you and your abilities. If everything goes well, you'll receive a (temporary) contract with an employment contract and salary. Meanwhile, the job broker will search for suitable work for you with another employer.
4.
For who is it?
You receive a Participation Act benefit from the Municipality of Tilburg. You're eager to work and are available for at least 12 hours per week. You've already tried several programs and found them unsuitable. You can then discuss with your caseworker whether you're eligible for a Development Job.
5.
What does the contact look like?
You'll be in contact with your client coordinator. They can apply for a development position if you meet all the requirements. You'll then have a placement interview with KikMaat. If you're both happy with the prospect of starting work and agree on a (temporary) position, you'll agree on a start date. You'll receive on-the-job support and stay in touch with the employment broker when you're ready for a new job with another employer.
