Energy surcharge: income limit to 130%

The municipality of Tilburg raises the income limit of the one-off energy allowance to 130%. With this, Tilburg helps more households with high energy bills and rising living costs.

• From 7 October, households with an income of up to 130 % of the social assistance standard can apply for the energy allowance for 2022.
• Previous application rejected because of too high an income?
  • Then you don't have to do anything. The municipality re-evaluates all these applications.
  • If your income does not exceed the 130% of the social assistance standard, you will receive a letter from the municipality within 8 weeks.
  • Have you not heard anything in mid-December? Then you are not entitled to the energy surcharge.
