GENERAL INFORMATION

During the course you will develop a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to function well in the catering industry. You will learn the most important techniques, jargon and product knowledge, both from the kitchen and from the service. Together we taste products and recognize good or bad quality. Where do local products come from in the Tilburg area and what are the current trends? You will receive ten weeks of theoretical and practical education (in our professional kitchen) and you will go through the job coaching program. We also take a look behind the scenes at different companies to understand the differences between organizations in the hospitality industry.

FREE, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

'There are no costs associated with the course for our students'. The course is funded by our partners, who together want to train more professionals. During the course you will be trained and guided by a professional job coach and catering professionals. Places are only available for motivated candidates. We see the course as a gift for your future, and if someone stops in the meantime (without good reason), costs will be charged.

JOB COACHING

There is a good chance that you will find a job that suits you through us. You will orient yourself within the broad concept of 'catering', which will give you a good idea of the differences and expectations within the sector. During the ten-week course, in addition to the catering subjects, you will also follow the job coaching process. Learning to apply for a job is an important part of this. The Taste of Work has a large network of employers where our students can move on to a job. Would you like to apply outside our network? We also support or mediate in this.

RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATE

Upon successful completion, students will receive a recognized certificate from The Taste of Work in collaboration with De Rooi Pannen: 'Horeca Assistent'.
