Almost at work

You can learn how to apply!

'You can learn how to apply' is a Work & Income training course. In the training you will learn a number of important parts of applying for a job.

1. What is it?

In this training you will learn a number of important parts of applying for a job. For example how to:

  • makes a good resume
  • build a network
  • how to present yourself to an employer
  • can read a vacancy clearly

After the training you will know how to apply for a job successfully. You do this together with other participants.

2. What is the goal?

To (further) improve your application skills. You participate in all parts and watch with the other participants where you can still improve. Once you have completed the training, you can apply for jobs independently and in a more targeted manner.

3. How long does it take?

The training lasts 4 weeks. Every week you follow two modules that both last 3.5 hours.

4. For who is it?

'You can learn how to apply for a job' is for anyone who is (almost) ready to start working. It does not matter whether you have been receiving benefits for some time or have only just submitted an application. Do you speak the Dutch language sufficiently and are you ready to participate? Contact your client director at Work & Income.

5. What does the contact look like?

You report to the counter at the indicated time. We will pick you up and drink coffee or tea first. We discuss the agenda when the group is complete (maximum of 12 participants and 2 trainers). A different theme is central every morning or afternoon. We will research, experiment, write, experience and help each other together. We take a break in between. We end every day by asking how you experienced the training. We can then improve the training with the tips. After the training you will hopefully go home satisfied and with new inspiration.
