Can I get an advance?

When am I entitled to a (legal) advance?
Do you have money problems during the application period for the benefit? Then you can request an advance from the legality consultant of Werk & Inkomen. That is the employee who handles your application. You can request the advance 4 weeks after you have submitted the application for the benefit. You will then receive 90% of the benefit to which you are entitled. You can request an advance every 4 weeks as long as your application for the benefit is ongoing. The advance is calculated from the expected commencement date of your benefit. We will then settle the advance that you have received against the benefit that you are still receiving. If you do not receive a benefit, you will repay the advance to us.
I have money problems, but no right to an advance. What should I do?
Every situation is different. We cannot say in advance whether or not you will receive an advance. Therefore, always explain your situation well to your legality consultant.
