An indication job agreement is a statement you receive if you are unable to earn the minimum wage due to illness or disability (work limitation). With this statement, the municipality will guide you in finding and keeping a job. With the job agreement you have a better chance of getting paid work.

1. What is it?

The cabinet and employers have agreed that they will provide more jobs for people with an occupational disability. With the job agreement you have a better chance of getting paid work. Work that suits you and your illness or disability. The employer is aware of your illness or disability and adapts the work as much as possible to your wishes. When you have found work, you often get a job coach. That is someone who supports you and your employer to make sure everything goes well.

You can request this indication from the UWV. You ask for an assessment of your working capacity. The study looks at what percentage of the minimum wage you can earn. 2. What is the goal?

The aim is that everyone with an occupational disability has a better chance of finding work. You may need extra guidance or an adapted workplace. That sometimes makes it difficult to find a suitable, fun job.

Do you have an indication job appointment? Then you fall under the target group. This gives you a better chance of finding work that suits you. You can also receive guidance in finding and keeping a job.

3. How long does it take?

If you are in the target group register, you can remain in the register until your state pension age. This means that you are entitled to support in finding and keeping a job until you retire.

4. For who is it?

You will receive an indication of a job appointment if you are unable to earn the minimum wage due to illness or disability. You can work independently. These are the conditions:

  • You cannot earn the minimum wage due to illness or disability;
  • Your illness or disability will last at least 6 months from the moment of assessment;
  • You are accompanied to work by the municipality (or have been accompanied to work);
  • You follow a course in secondary special education (VSO), practical education (PRO) or an entrance course in MBO. Or you have already followed one of these courses.

5. What does the contact look like?

If you have the indication and you start looking for work, you will first have contact with the work broker, who will help you find a job that suits you. The work broker will also keep in touch with you if you are already working. You also have contact with a labor expert. This person visits you at your workplace to measure your wage value. This is a study that examines what percentage of the minimum wage you can earn. You may also have contact with a job coach. The job coach guides you at your workplace.
